*June 7th Higher Ground Huddle Kick Off

"Huddle(s)" are the summer program Wednesdays from 6-8:30 and provide a safe place and time for the students that are moving up into the next grade to be together with their peers. We find it aids in the transition from 5th to 6th grade so they know other students already familiar with Middle (Jr. High) School and in the same way from 8th to 9th grade in High School.

We usually have Hot Dogs or Tacos, sometimes Burgers or Pizza, we encourage dessert donations along with water, soda, and chips. There are groups that play yard games, basketball, kickball, slick-ball, Kan-Jam, and the like but we always gather for a word about the world in the last half hour or so. We call that "Concrete Confab" we talk about what the students bring up and it's always illuminating. In case of bad weather we'll have a movie night, SO, we hope to see you there along with a friend or two to hang out with during the summer.

June Huddle Dates 7th, 28th

July Huddle Dates 5th,19th, 26th

Transformation Through Application

One of the greatest assets of our church is the youth ministry. This exciting ministry was started for Middle & Senior High School students in Saxonburg and surrounding communities over 20 years ago. Our greatest desire for the youth ministry is to help students experience the life-transforming love of Jesus Christ. Our aim is to help students explore who Jesus is in a non-threatening atmosphere. While we strive to make sure that kids have fun and feel comfortable just as they are, our goal is to help them experience Jesus Christ in a way that changes their lives by seeking Him every day. There is no formal registration process for either Middle School (Jr High) or Senior High youth groups, but if you would give us a general idea of who you are by checking our online box below that would be GREAT! OR.. Just show up, and bring some friends with you. When you come for the first time, we will make sure we get your address and phone number so that we can send you information about exciting youth group (HIGHER GROUND) activities that are about to happen.

Times/Specifics for regular gatherings

Generally - Junior High meets on Wednesdays and Senior High meets on Thursdays.

The first Wednesday (Jr High) and Thursday (Sr High) of every month we have Pot Luck.  Each grade is assigned a dish and they all bring something to share. Today life is fast and we don't always get a chance to eat with our families so we see this as a vital component of our gatherings. These evenings start at 6:30.

Other Wednesdays and Thursdays - Youth Group (Higher Ground) nights begins with a Bible study @ 6:15 - Wednesday's Jr. High study is called God Squad and Thursday's Sr. High Study is called PathwaysThis is for students who want to go deeper into the text, like Bible study does, but in the context of Youth Group so they get the group message at a deeper level. That usually runs anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes.

Jr. High Club on Wednesdays runs from 7pm until 8:30-8:45 depending on small group discussion, and

Sr. High Club on Thursdays runs until from 7pm 9:00-9:15 depending on small group discussion.

Small Groups for the girls are age/grade appropriate 6th, 7th, 8th etc.

Small Group discussion for boys are apart from the girls.

What we do at club (Jr. and Sr. High):

7:00-7:15 Gpop (General population chatter) It's a great time to meet new friends and or check in on the others.
